No.5: Nikken's Visit to the Zen Temple Cemetery

The Zen Temple Cemetery incident revealed Nikken to be the devil king of the sixth heaven. This incident was made public on October 1991.

Although the high priest of Nichiren Shoshu, Nikken provided a grave for the Abe family at the cemetery of Hakusan-ji temple of Soto denomination, a faction of the Zen sect in Fukushima Prefecture on July 17, 1989. The high quality tombstone made in Sweden cost $55,000 and was erected on this site known and called by everyone as the heretical sect. Of all things, Nikken conducted an eye-opening ceremony on this day.

In the history of the Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism since its establishment 700 years ago, it is the gravest slanderous act toward the Law. On this occasion, instead of refuting the chief priest at the Hakusan-ji temple as “Zen is the act of the heavenly devil”, Nikken secrety entered from the rear entrance of this cemetery carrying two bottles of sake and left immediately following the ceremony.

Once the truth became public, Nikken and others made excuses that this is a public cemetery of the village. However, this grave site is clearly specified as the property of Hakusan-ji temple on the Fukushima City's cemetery register. Obviously, it is not a public cemetery.

Moreover, the chief priest of the Hakusan-ji temple testified that “this is not a public cemetery”. In the autumn of 1993, a fence was built around the cemetery to prove that the property belongs to Hakusan-ji temple. This is clear proof that Nikken's grave is on the grounds of the Zen temple.

Furthermore, the tombstone is inscribed with “for the deceased relatives---dedicated by Nikken”. This is factual evidence beyond denial.

Nikken stated “There are so many evil paths that exist in this world. Although you may have embraced the correct teachings, if your family grave is located at the erroneous site, evil influences will appear and destroy your faith of correct teaching”. (Nikken's speech at the opening ceremony of Myoen-ji temple, January 1985). As stated in his own speech, Nikken's correct faith was destroyed by evil influences and became the devil king of the sixth heaven.
